The MYTH Of Romantic Love :)

ROMANTIC LOVE - an illusion which traps you into marriage. This commonly held myth of Romantic Love has been fostered into our minds at quite a tender age...
It has its origin in our favourite childhood fairy tale wherein the prince and the princess once united live happily forever after....

The myth of Romantic Love tells us that for every young man in the world there is a young woman who is 'meant for him'.... It implies that there is only one man for a woman & only one woman for a man which has been predetermined in the 'STARS'...

When they do not meet all of each other's needs FRICTION arises and they fall out of LOVE....It is clear to them now that they made a dreadful mistake, misread the stars and to the one they loved the most now seems unreal... No other situation arises except for "Unhappily married" or "DIVORCE".....They go out in the search of a new star.....

Where they will find the new star of thier life?
Will they not destroy the new one as they did to the earlier one?
Are there people in this busy world who still believe that GOD created only one star for them so that they would shine together forever and not go out in the search of new stars everyday....

Is it TRUE when old people say - there is only one perfect match existing for us...If we try to break this notion life will be never wonderful...What do you say?

  • What you say is TRUE!

    Romantic love really does have its origin in what was told to us when we were kids and a pre-conceived notion about what such love can do for us........heal our pains, take care of us, making EVERYTHING better, infact make life worth living!

    What it realy doesnot tell us is what we are supposed to do whan the person at the other end is also thinking the same way and is expecting us to be theie saviour!

    What happens then is something called a reality bite and our close eyed concepts are shattered........leaving us very much bare naked to face the truth......about the non-existence of any such love at all!!

  • Does so called true love exists, or are we just fooling our self to believe it?

    Who said love is a easy road,?
    Who said love is all about winning?
    Who said love is a happy ride?
    Who said love is spending life with the person you ever loved?

    But I say true love does exist. I believe it’s a easy road. I am sure it’s all about winning.

    Fauzia, the actual problem starts when we try to possess someone and take things for granted. We start deciding on someone elses behalf

    Love is all about freedom, freedom to do what we want with a belief that the love of our life will stand by us, no matter how bad life path is. Love is about belief that thing will be great no matter how messy it looks. Love is blind, knowing that we would be guided in the rite path by our loved ones.

    Yeah things go wrong, will go wrong, it will be a tough ride. But then who said life is a simple game.

  • There is an old saying that goes
    "It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages"
    For one to be happpily married,then he/she shud be ready sacrifice that they will commit to their partner and one shud agree to the fact tht we r all humans and are very susceptible to mistakes and clumsiness.
    I find these two attributes lacking in many of those realtionships

  • i read this coloum very calmly n as far as i concerned....is tat..in our life v live on hope in each n every field..n here aslo this things comes..measn v r living in hope that there is sm1 who is made for us....n in reall it happpens in sm cases bt nt in all the cases...because there is another things comes into play callled "LUCK" n it overcomes all our hope n still v hpe ke luck will favour us n will meet our hope..

    there exists a true love..i agree..bt its nt just the love b/w boy n a gal..it between a mom n a son,dad n his son,sis n her bro.these r called true love...

    they never need any hope n luck..they remains forvere n evergreen...

    but romantic love may vanish with time bt if true it will never fed......

    n if u dnt get ur so calles persn then u said..it wasn't made for u..n again u stay tall on "HOPE" there will b another one...so in life many occassions come when u feel this is that perosn whom i was thinking abt in my dreams..but afterll u come to knw truth.....
